Build your extraterrestrial colony

In its early access stage, Wastelander is a premium turn-based strategy game that revolves around building a colony on a barren planet. With randomly generated seeded maps that add an exciting rogue-like element to the gameplay, there is no shortage in terms of replayability.

While Wastelander’s mechanics are easy to understand, they are certainly difficult to master. Thanks to the map randomization and the fact that you will start with a mostly blank area that only expands as you build your defenses and unlock buildings, every round of play is always a certified challenge.

Conquer the map and upgrade your buildings

Embark on a highly strategic, single-player game from Appstronaut Studios—Wastelander. Your main task is to conquer each randomly generated map by constructing defensive structures, discovering abandoned alien ruins and supply drops, unlocking and upgrading buildings through ancient technology, and collecting relics from the planet’s past. Each newly generated map comes with limited visible areas, and you will unlock locations as you expand your colony.

Through the tactical placement of structures across the map, you will manage to light up the dark areas. Doing so will reveal sources of supplies and mysterious ruins that you can explore or pillage to your advantage. These ruins hold secrets that, when utilized correctly, will drastically tip the circumstances to your side. While the gameplay sounds easy and simple, it is made tough by the turn-based mechanics.

Strategy plays a huge role in ensuring survival, and you cannot recklessly build as much as you want. On top of the limited resources, you can only do a few things on your turn. Once it ends, you will have to wait until nature is done with its turn—which can mean sending a destructive storm your way—before you can do anything again. There is no multiplayer co-op option, as well.

Challenging but has no multiplayer mode

Wastelander does not only challenge one’s wits with its strategic, turn-based gaming style, but it also ups the ante with its randomly generated seeded maps. You will be up against the harsh nature of a barren, otherworldly planet, armed with only your quick thinking and limited resources. Venture across the map to discover ancient relics or sources of supply. However, gameplay is strictly single-player, and there is no chance to fight against or with other players.

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
